About Us

St Leonard's is the Church of England (Anglican) Parish Church for Heston.  The Parish of St Leonard is part of the Diocese of London and in the Area of Kensington.

Heston is in the London Borough of Hounslow and forms part of the Greater London conurbation.

Heston is situated off the main A4 Great West Road, some 12 miles to the West of Central London and approximately 3 miles North East of the centre of Heathrow Airport.

Centuries ago, Heston was a small and relatively remote agricultural and market-gardening village, with the parish church of St Leonard at its heart. 

In the 21st Century, with Heathrow Airport as our close neighbour,  Heston has evolved and expanded into a busy and very socially and ethnically diverse community.  Heston can hardly be described as a "village" any more, but St Leonard's Parish church still stands proudly at its centre as a place of Christian worship. 

The Parish Prayer

Heavenly Father, we give you thanks for your grace and goodness towards us.  Guide and lead us as we seek to discern and follow your will for your church here in Heston.

We bring before you the needs of the people who live and work and worship in this parish.  Strengthen us in our desire to be a community of outreach and service.  Teach us to place our trust in you and your unfailing love for the people of Heston.  Grant us a growth in our numbers sufficient to do your will in this place.

We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
